New digital content supports Home Office ‘ENOUGH’ campaign

8th November 2022 amy-eddy

Story has relaunched the website that supports the second phase of the Government’s “ENOUGH – Violence Against Women and Girls” campaign.

Building on our first phase of work, the new content is designed to encourage the general public to challenge unacceptable behaviour – by providing practical advice and ways to act against abuse in a variety of situations.

  • Information on how to intervene safely
  • Example scenarios to test knowledge and explore options
  • A useful mnemonic to help bystanders remember how to STOP abuse (SAY something, TELL someone, OFFER support, PROVIDE a diversion)

The site also includes guidance and resources for teachers, equipping them with the knowledge to recognise and respond to suspected abuse and build their confidence in teaching children about abuse and healthy relationships. New content will be added to the site over the coming weeks.

Karen Kneale, Story Client Services Director, said:

“Many of us have seen some form of abusive behaviour against women and girls but struggle to know how best to help stop it. And worrying about personal safety and the risk of making the situation worse can hold people back. The new content helps people understand that stepping in doesn’t necessarily mean being confrontational – there are a range of ways to intervene safely. And by doing so, people are playing their part in creating a safer society”
